How Playoffs Work
Seeding
The top eight teams from the regular season qualify. Higher seeds choose their opponents.
Format
A single-elimination bracket. Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Finals determine the champion.
Promotion & Relegation
PBO uses three-up, three-down movement between divisions, except between Stargazer and Infinity, which uses two up and two down.
Stargazer
2 up • 3 downThe regular-season #1 and playoff champion promote to Infinity.
The bottom three regular-season teams relegate to Sunset.
Sunset
3 up • 3 downThe regular-season #1 and both playoff finalists promote to Stargazer.
The bottom three regular-season teams relegate to Crystal.
Neon
3 up • No relegationThe regular-season #1 and both playoff finalists promote to Crystal.
No teams relegate from Neon.
Overlapping qualification: If a coach earns more than one promotion spot, the next eligible coach in the regular-season standings receives the open spot.
Division Hierarchy: Infinity (Top) → Stargazer → Sunset → Crystal → Neon (Bottom)
